In the NXT Work Center fundraisers can see how much money they have raised towards their goals. The dollars raised for each goal, however is restricted to just "cash-in-hand giving" that only "includes one-time gifts; gifts of stock/property; and payments toward pledges, matching gifts, recurring gifts, and planned gifts" (quoted texted is sourced from the NXT Help Menu). My institution's fundraising totals, along with the fundraising totals of many other institutions, are not reported as "cash-in-hand", but instead as a combination of outright gifts and commitments (this is particularity true for reporting total dollars raised for major gifts and planned gifts). This "cash-in-hand giving" limitation unfortunately renders the Goals functionality of the NXT Work Center useless to us.

I therefore recommend that Blackbaud add a Configure option in the Control Panel of NXT to allow administrators to define how totals towards Goals are calculated (similarly to how we can already define/configure metrics for Received Revenue, Committed Revenue, and Recognition).
