More fields for email marketing

Unfortunately the newly released email marketing is useless to us because of lack of fields. Not only are addressee/salutations missing - see idea "Name merge field for marketing emails" but I would also like Constituent ID, all recent gifts so we can use it to email receipts - amount, date and gift, donor and gift custom fields, recurring gift amount, payment method and starting on date.

We would like to be able to use this for sending out important emails about gifts / updates to gifts - so being able to have a whole range of other gift field options in the merge fields would be so helpful, as instead we have to do mail merge and not use RENXT for this. Would really appreciate this coming in for future, thank you!

Yes, please! The available merge fields are minimal at best. We are a membership based organization and not having any of the membership module fields available in Email limits our ability to use this feature. We need to be able to include Category, Membership ID, and Expires On at a minimum for Email to become useful for us moving forward.

We could have much more targeted solicitation if there were more merge fields available, please consider adding pledge amount, pledge balance remaining, and constituent id options for the email merge fields.

I would be helpful to customise 'To' field format . Currently, recipients will see their name in 'To' field as set in Individual Display Name. So if you have in your display the title, full name and Class Year, all this information will appear in the 'To' field.

5 years later and the merge fields that were released with the initial role out are still the only ones available! This is just one of many ideas asking for salutation, ID and other merge fields.

So 5 years later, and at a new organisation, but I am still NOT using emails in NXT.

Please can you add Constituent ID as a merge field for NXT email marketing. We would like to utilise the Workflow email feature but are having to resort to another emailing platform so we can include our donors ConsID.

Please make Constituent ID a merge field for NXT email marketing. We cannot send a confirmation email to new regular giving donors without this. So we are currently having to use a different platform for this style of communication.

Ditto on the pledge info for reminders. It would be great to setup an automatic pledge reminder which included the original pledge amount, paid to date, and balance due. Or, if there are installments, the current installment amount that is due.

Please add the ability to enter an ask amount and latest gift by fund. Also, the ability to choose an email for constituent A and B which would make it easier to contact both parents of a student/alumni.

Please include primary education "Class Of" field.

I've been searching for an easy way to communicate with donors when their recurring gifts decline. Other than an automatic workflow or gift receipting (which does not allow emails to gift with a zero dollar value), email marketing would be the next best option for this type of communication.

Yes, PLEASE more functional merge fields including accessing the addressee/salutation fields in database view, adding an additional email type for multiple addresses per constituent record, and giving merge fields that include pledge balance so I can send pledge reminders!!

I would like to be able to pull in specific gift information into the merge fields. Right now we can only pull in first, latest, greatest, or lifetime gift information.

Yes yes yes!! More fields like RG amount, frequency, last instalment date. For emails to be valuable we absolutely need to able able to use more fields.

100% - at a minimum (for us), salutation (which we've worked hard to customise) and Donor ID.

This needs to also be able to access custom fields or attributes. We currently use constant contact and will push custom ask amounts up to a custom field and include in the email body. There is currently no way to do this in NXT. that I'm aware of. Last Gift, Largest gift, etc. isn't granular enough to get the "right" ask in an email. Ex tribute gifts, event registrations, etc.

My organization could also benefit from more merge fields: ID, more gift information (like fund) so we could use them for our e-receipts, as well as attributes or total giving through a period of time. We email donors an year-end giving statement for their taxes and I don't see a way to do that using NXT Email Marketing.

Yes this would be really useful as we work out a donation ask per constituent depending on their average gift amount and then would like to merge this donation ask into the marketing email appeal we are sending out.

Yes we really need the Constituent ID field too, it makes things so much harder as we run events through a different system and without their ID we have to search them all individually

Not being able to merge constituent ID seems ridiculous - the only field that is totally unique to every record. There should be the option for each user to select which fields from the database are most useful for them to merge.
