Include solicitor type in the options for ending an assigned fundraiser relationship

When ending a solicitor assignment, we not only enter an end date, but we also change the solicitor type to "former" (former planned giving, former corporate/foundation relations, former major gifts, etc).  We do this in order to simplify the process of querying and exporting and to just make it visually more easy to understand the relationships tab in RE Classic.  Currently in RE NXT, when clicking the button next to a solicitor name, we have to edit the assignment instead of ending the assignment in order to actually end the assignment.  It's just confusing for my users because of our process.

NXT is definitely missing that feature. For our users, an end date is not enough to see that it is a past relationship. I don't want to have to create new Former... It doesn't make sense. Please, can you add that feature.

I had MGOs do this recently and I was wondering why they had skipped changing the type. This would be incredibly useful to my team.

What this Guest asks for is what the vast majority of organizations do to for the reasons well and accurately stated.  At a minimum please add the ability to select a new type, even better think through the workflow on this such as creating a Settings option that supports defaulting the new former type based on the previous current type (e.g., Major Gifts Officer changes to  Former Major Gifts Officer).
