While the general settings in Query, Reports, and elsewhere regarding soft credits are helpful and useful, it would be highly beneficial to make the soft credit gift type available as a separate field to query and report on.  There have been times where all I was interested in were just soft credits from a specific constituency group, appeal, fund, campaign, etc. and to be able to query on soft credits, specifically, and see a report of those soft credits would have been helpful. 

Again, I am aware of the the gift processing option for handling soft credits in Query and the "soft credit gifts to" option in Reports but it would make things more efficient to be able to select soft credit gift type for query and report purposes.  Or even add a report option for JUST soft credit gifts.
