Having a profession visible in the web view and being able to filter accounts for a profession gives a better option for segmenting donors and speaking "their language".

Just coming back to this to see if there has been any progress. We are onboarding Almabase and industry is a key search field that we would like to integrate with NXT. This is becoming much more of a problem now.

We use Industry and profession to build lists for alumni relations, student careers advice and also corporate fundraising. Please make the fields available in NXT soon as we have to add relationships on database view and it is affecting our ability to migrate fully to NXT.

Agree that this is a a big issue for any corporate fundraisers in our team - they are stuck in database view for a lot of things because of this field not being visible and not being usable in lists or dashboards in NXT.

Please add (Industry and Profession) to the list of recent Product Briefing updates that need to be made. It would be helpful to have this in NXT by end of 2025/2026.

This has been a major stumbling block in our ability to move relationship management to web view. We need to be able to add industry and profession on employment relationships without turning that employer into a constituent.

This is critical for our communications with our alumni. It would be even better if it showed directly on the constituent record, unlike database view where it's only available in the relationship tab

This really needs to be added to help our Corporate fundraiser treams do their jobs.

We don't use Industry, but the Professions field is crucial for our fundraising efforts.

We use the industry field for every organization record. Strongly agree to add this field to NXT.

Are there any updated plans to allow business industry to be entered in web view, rather than doing half the job and then reverting to the database view to add the last part? Rather frustrating as it would make a huge difference.

Industry code is crucial for all of the reasons mentioned here and in the comments. I am only commenting here to point out that as of Aug 11, there are 60 votes on this topic, but there are 8 other identical suggestions on the first page of search alone for a total vote count of 166.

Agree with all the messages - we need Industry and Income fields as a matter of urgency

This is the main feature which means that, as a fundraiser, I spend more time in Database View than NXT!

Long overdue feature

It's very important for our fundraisers, who don't use DB view, to be able to see the industry of a constituent's organisation relationship(s), and for them to be able to build a list with filters based on organisation relationship fields, so that they know who to target when planning an engagement campaign around particular industry sectors.

Our organisation has strategic priorities focused on industry engagement, and we are trying to encourage staff to update this field as it is difficult to keep up to date and has limited coverage.

Agreed. On Organization Relationships, we save meaningful information in the Industry and Profession fields. Our RENXT webview users, such as gift officers, need to see this information when viewing someone's record.
I would also like to see it as a column and filter option in Lists, but that desire is less urgent.

Only just noticed the absence of these fields (probably because I've been spending most time working in RE7 because of things like this), but these are very important to us as well. An organisation's name often doesn't say very much about what they do, or what the constituent does for them.
