The new design on tabbed layout where tabs with data have no indicator and tabs without data have a (0) indicator is confusing, especially since db view was the opposite. Many of us are used to looking for the indicator to tell us there is data present, not that there is no data present. The zeroes are fine but would really like a quick indicator like the checkmark from db view to tell us which tabs to look at. I don't really need to know quickly about the tabs I don't need to view.
