The participant search feature for events needs to be more flexible. For example, searching for Alan Mayfield returns no results because his record includes a middle initial. Unless that initial is entered, his record is not found. The only workaround is to search for everyone named Alan or everyone with the surname Mayfield, which is impractical. This type of name-search issue was raised as far back as 2021, and five years later it remains unresolved. Please make it possible to reliably find participants using just their first and last names.
