Exporting the data and removing duplicates is not a workaround, as each duplicated row for a donor may contain a different Participation value. The Suppress duplicate rows option also does not resolve the issue.

Request: To include the correct Participation value from the specific event participation linked to each gift in a general gift report, while displaying each gift only once. This would improve efficiency and eliminate the need to create custom fields to track sponsorship levels when the information is already recorded in the system.

Practical explanation:

I want to pull a report of gifts from this FY. There are some gifts that are linked through event registrations- a.k.a. sponsorship levels. I want to be able to see the participation field in a regular gift query (with it showing me the linked sponsorship level).

When I add the participation field into my report. It duplicates every row.

So instead of showing me the accurate number of gifts from this FY, it shows me 60x the amount due to the duplicate rows. And, whatever value is in the participation field is not always the correct corresponding sponsorship level, so I cannot remove duplicates in excel. Where the data is pulling from, I have no clue.

I have worked with BB support and they've confirmed this is how the system is set up and that if I want all gifts from the year (including ones that are not even registrations), then there is no work around.
