I don't mean add attachments during a batch of new gifts or records. I mean a new view that allows you to pull a list and there exists a column to add an attachment to that record one by clicking a link in the dynamic list.

For example: Gift list of unacknowledged gifts: can click a button to add an attachment from that view without navigating to the gift record. This will strengthen the argument that webview is the "future," becasue the main drawback of webview is having to wait for navigation and loading links.
