For pledge payments we don't use split gifts. If a gift comes in now through an online donation form with a tokenized credit card payment and part of that gift is supposed to go towards a pledge, I don't think there is a current option to alter the gift to enter it on two separate lines and there is no option to delete either - so there needs to be some time of option to deal with this scenario.
