Allow Gift Notification Emails from Donation Forms to go to administrative email inboxes.

For a small team like ours, it’s imperative that donation notifications can go to a shared inbox. It's disruptive to our processes to have these notifications routed to an individual as opposed to a shared inbox where multiple people can access it regardless of PTO, departures, etc.

Turnover, time away, small teams wearing multiple hats - all valid reasons to have a role-based email for a notification. Please reconsider this unfortunate decision.

This is important to have for our small team so we can manage alerts in one central place.

I have an idea bank item that would also improve notifications on RE NXT forms and I encourage everyone to vote for this too, developers say this should be doable. Thanks!

Voted! Thanks for putting that together.

I also have an idea in the idea bank that is notification related, and I have been told by the developers is possible. I’d love to get some more votes for it:

Vacations and sick leave are a thing, and turnover happens. It has always been best practice NEVER to send notifications or information like this that could be needed for future reference to an individual email. This decision quite simply makes no sense- we need to be able to send this information to an email multiple people can access, both now and in the future, so that teams can operate effectively!

I'm really scratching my head about this decision Blackbaud. I'd like a fix for it - I completely agree with the original poster's idea - but I really want an explanation about why this decision was made too. This is critical to any size organization, and not just small ones.

This is a simple feature that should remain intact. Flexibility is necessary for proper workflow.

This is critical for us - especially when covering for vacations, illness, leaves, etc.

This is an incredibly important part of behind the scenes processing. Having a shared inbox where these are all housed protects against any unforeseen job changes, illnesses, PTO, etc. It also serves as a history that can be accessed by multiple people at the organization. Sending these kinds of notifications to an administrative inbox is real world best practice and blackbaud should make it possible to continue to do so.

Agree that notifications, as well as receipts, event registration confirmations and donation confirmations should pass through this block even if bulk emails continue to be blocked.

Perhaps there could be an extra utility like the UnBlock Me feature that allows an override for specific role-based emails? In addition, we do have some organization constituents that specifically request email communications sent to their calendar@ or admin@ or other shared email addresses so their staff can stay up-to-date on community nonprofit happenings without the risk of losing important info when 1 person leaves the organization.

Absolutely agree that this is vital and required. Blackbaud's main customer base is fundraising departments, not individuals. Blackbaud needs a way to allow for role based rather than individual based communication.
