Adding Gift Code as an available column in Gift Lists would make this information immediately visible to users across the organization, eliminating the need to contact gift processing for clarification and improving efficiency for teams that regularly review gift activity through Gift Lists.

While organizations may use Gift Code differently, its purpose is typically to store meaningful source or processing information that supplements standard gift data. Because it is already available as a gift batch field, making it accessible in Gift Lists would provide greater visibility into key gift details, streamline reporting and review processes, and help users understand gifts at a glance without requiring additional research.

For example, at my organization, Gift Code is often used to capture critical information about a gift's source, such as a specific ACH portal, third-party giving platform, workplace giving vendor, or other payment channel. This information provides important context for understanding how a gift was received and is frequently referenced by gift processing, advancement services, and fundraising teams.
