I guess I just assumed this was standard functionality that would be coming to NXT, but maybe not. We need the open a gift search function, like we search for a constituent. I've seen suggestions for improvements to the gift search in DB view and I would love if we could incorporate more robust searches for gifts in an NXT search. We would like to search by donor name, Gift ID, date, pay method batch number, etc. I know these are possible in query and some in lists, but they are more cumbersome than a pre-configured search function.

Maybe an advanced search option beside the standard search bar at the top of the screen with additional options? I like the smart search idea, but we could probably help speed it up by limiting the search to certain record types, like gifts or actions, for a more thorough search of records in the system.

In database view, I have an input query in the search window to output the fields that I often need to look up - batch number being one of them. I'd really like a feature like that, too. Anyway, we need to open gifts individually sometimes and I'd like a faster way to do that.
