We're currently using both Optimised and Standard forms. While I prefer to use Optimised forms wherever possible, there are still occasions where I need to use a Standard form because of its additional functionality.
One challenge I'm finding is that the Standard donation form is very long, particularly when embedded within a webpage that also contains supporting content. This can make the page feel quite overwhelming and harder to navigate, especially on mobile devices.
I noticed that the Event form includes a Next button and guides users through the process in stages. Is there any possibility of introducing a similar multi-step experience for Standard donation forms?
I think this could significantly improve the supporter experience, make pages easier to read, and create a cleaner user journey on both mobile and desktop devices.
I'd be interested to hear whether this is something Blackbaud is considering, or whether other organisations have found effective ways to manage the length of Standard forms.
Thanks for submitting your Idea, Hayley. Do you have an example page with the issue you describe, with the long Standard form with supporting content?
