This is extremely important for GDPR in the UK. I've just rolled out Optimised Donation Form on our main donate button on the website and I've noticed people are skipping the consent section, and it also says if you leave it blank we will use your previous options or something like that, I'd prefer to make the donor untick the options if they didn't want to receive communication. Also where does soft opt-in come in with this? At the moment a new donor or lapsed donor can give a gift and not select consent options... This doesn't work for us. Please can you remove the skip option and possible make it so we can tick a box to say whether it's mandatory or not? This would really help.
Thank you for your response. I noticed that there's a similar idea to this, https://renxt.ideas.aha.io/ideas/RENXT-I-8237 which I've commented on. I think the owner of this idea has a better option. To make the consent mandatory to complete or make the default No. Because at the moment. They mention we cannot default to yes due to GDPR and your statement even says do not mark as Yes if you need to be GDPR compliant. If they leave it blank, we just need the consent to be recorded as No Response. At the moment the Consent Tile is just blank which really isn't helpful.
Thanks for your feedback! We actually just changed some of how this works on Optimised form specifically for UK customer feedback. First, there is an option so that these are selected by default, which is recommended for UK customers where GDPR is required. Here's a screenshot of where you set that.

Because of the intent of the Optimised form - optimised for the donor experience, consent is optional - the donor can shut the form at any point and the donation is already made. I'm going to leave this Idea open for voting so we can gauge overall interest in removing the skip. In the meantime, I definitely recommend you ensure your form has the consent options pre-selected with the configuration already available on the form.
