Insight Designer - Add a First Gift option as a measure to help create New Donors

My organization wanted to add a New Donor metric to the dashboard. They want to base this on First Gift instead of Constituent Added, because they want to capture constituent who may be in our system but have never given. When I went into insight builder there was not an option for First Gift. Can this be added to the Date as Function.

    We need this! I am new to insight designer and I am currently building out some dashboards and was shocked that first gift was not a filter!

    Please note this similiar Idea

    Would love to be able to create a Dashboard of Insights to demonstrate how our first time donors are coming in as well as report on the number of new donors in each year for a range of years. If the first gift was a filter I know I could create a Dashboard of insights that would be very useful in showing our leaders how many first time donors come into our org each year and how.
