Right now, the only option in both RE Database view and NXT for a donor to make a contribution to an event is if they purchase a ticket and then make "an additional contribution". Many times, i have donors that want to just donate to the event even if they're unable to attend. Having the ability to make a one-time gift to the event should be an option. We lose MANY gifts without having this option available.
