Please add the gift subtype data to the gift detail that is printed out on the new RENXT web view giving statements. Currently gifts made from an IRA are indistinguishable from outright gifts made directly from the donor by check or cash because they both show up with gift type = One-time gift. Yet they are handled differently when a donor reports charitable deductions for tax purposes - which is a primary use of the giving statement. Having the gift subtype field included on the giving statement would enable IRA gifts to be distinguished from other one time gifts.
Yes. This seems like it would be a basic part of the report from the get-go. Donors deserve to see the pertinent data, and we deserve to spend less time doing extra searches for our donors when they call with follow-up questions because the information wasn't included the first time around.
Yes!!!!! A thousand times yes!!! We need this so that donors are not confused when they receive their giving statement. It would help to alleviate their frustration and also the need to call into us to get the info that really should have been on the letter.
