I tried entering a new proposal via RE:NXT, but when typing the date as I always do in RE:7, I got an error. Technology moving forward shouldn't lose functionality that saves time/keystrokes. I am frustrated with MS Office products that require the full date including "/" on entry, and losing that RE:7 functionality in moving to RE:NXT doesn't make me want to work in NXT.
Typing "063016" and having RE format as "6/30/2016" is preferred...typing "9" and having RE format as "7/9/2015" is almost essential to fast and effiient data entry. Even the RE:7 shortcut of F3 for the current date doesn't work in RE:NXT.
I know that often this won't matter for most fundraisers, but for DBAs and any data entry role, this is going to be important, and it would be really good to know that it's coming, or at least on the list.
I also agree, although NXT is designed for the development officer, if admin duties are moving to NXT please do not take away time saving functions for those of us that have to enter large amounts of data.
Our Grants Manager makes an angry sound every time she types a 2-digit year and it comes back with a error needing a 4 digit year. PLEASE (!!!) make two digit years acceptable!!!
I absolutely agree this should be fixed!!!
Agreed. I would also like to see some shortcuts enabled, like F3 to drop in the current date.
One of my gift officers also mentioned some shortcuts would be nice, like an easy way to get back to the "work center" home screen.
