We're an arts college with a multitude of events. It would be great if we could essentially tag our events with more nuance beyond our categories (alumni, exhibition, donor stewardship etc). Example: Dinner w/ a well-known architect might be interesting to prospects who love architecture and sustainability and we might also have an exhibition in six months that's about sustainable housing. When we sit down to discuss next touch points for sustainably-minded donors, it would be great to filter for these events or to use these tags to identify highly-engaged prospects with a targeted ask.
I think multiple categories could work as long as users can see it and sort/filter on the constituent record in addition to the events view.
Crystal - would being able to assign multiple categories to an event help solve this problem? So you could define "alumni" and also "sustainability" and "architecture" or do you see the need for two different categorization systems that are completely separate from one another?
